Admin & CofP Lead – Roles & Responsibilities
Administrator Responsibilities
- Help staff align their community work to their TPGP's and school initiatives.
- Promote a culture of community by acknowledging and celebrating community work at monthly staff meetings
- Monitor/track/approve staff requests to attend/host communities external to RVS structures. sample tracking form
- Create time for staff to review the Google + CofP stream - https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/117482714333427066733
- Ensure staff meet the creation and registration deadlines. This year registration closes on Sept 30th. Late registrations can affect community viability and on occasion can cause undue stress and impossible logistics for the creator, community members and development team.
- Act as or delegate CofP Lead responsibilities
Lead Responsibilities
- Explain to new RVS staff and to staff entering a school mid-year, what the CofP model is, how it works and how they need to prepare for their involvement.
- Remind/encourage/promote the proposal/creation and registration stages of CofP – answer possible “how to” questions from their school staff
- Field questions staff may have as the year progresses regarding group dynamics, work space and project evidence.
Requirements / Expectations:
- Display a passion for learning
- Understand and communicate the PURPOSE AND GOALS of Communities within RVS - What is a CofP
- Keep conversations about Communities of Practice current.
- Provide direct on-site support to staff at their individual schools.
- Be the point of contact for release of general communication
- Provide monthly updates regarding CofP at school staff meetings

- Area meetings used to communicate key information
- Registration portal updated and community requests vetted during creation phase
